TimberFloorQuotes ("we", "us") operates timberfloorquotes.com.au, a platform that connects Australian homeowners planning timber flooring work with professional flooring installers. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

• Homeowners: name, email, phone, suburb/postcode, and project details you enter into the quote form (area, material preference, timeline, budget range, site conditions and any notes or files you attach).
• Installers: account email, business name, contact phone, and records of leads you unlock.
• Account & billing: authentication details and a record of wallet top-ups and credit spend. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
• Technical: standard log data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.

• To build your project brief and match it with suitable installers.
• To operate installer accounts, wallets, lead unlocks and receipts.
• To keep the marketplace safe, moderating listings, preventing fraud and misuse.
• To respond to enquiries and send service-related messages about your quote or account.

If you submit a project as a homeowner, your project specifications (suburb, area, material, site conditions) are visible to verified installers on the platform. Your contact details, full name, phone number, email address and any attached plans, are only released to an installer once they pay to unlock your lead. Each lead is released to a limited number of installers so you are not flooded with calls.

We use third parties to run the platform: a cloud database and authentication provider for accounts and data storage, a payment processor for installer wallet top-ups, and email delivery for transactional messages. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function.

Access to personal information is restricted at the database level so that contact details are only readable by the account they belong to, by an installer who has unlocked that lead, or by platform administrators. We retain project and transaction records for as long as needed to run the service and to meet Australian tax and record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them.

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing hello@timberfloorquotes.com.au. If you are unhappy with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
